Please read these terms carefully before booking your tour with Secular India Tours & Travels (SITT)

SECULAR INDIA TOURS & TRAVELS (SITT) acts only in the capacity of agent for hotels, houseboats, transporters, cable car corporations, and contractors providing other services. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts, and tickets issued by us are subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by the concerned authorities.

Payment Policy

• For all services contracted, certain advance payment must be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis.

• The balance amount must be paid either before your departure from your country/state or upon arrival in Kashmir, but definitely before the commencement of services.

• Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the advance payment amount based on the nature of service and time left for commencement.

• All correspondence regarding tour/travel service bookings should be addressed to Secular India Tours & Travels.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason(s), we must be notified in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive written advice:

10%20 days prior to arrival - 10% of tour/service cost
25%15 days prior to arrival - 25% of tour/service cost
50%08 days prior to arrival - 50% of tour/service cost
100%04 days prior to arrival - 100% full cost will be charged

Note: Written cancellation will be accepted on all working days except Sunday. Any cancellation sent on Sundays will be considered on the next working day (Monday).

Insurance & Baggage

• We do not have any insurance policy covering expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home state/country.

• All baggage and personal property are at all times at the client's risk.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

1. Price Changes: After finalization of tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges by the Government of India, the same would be charged as extra.

2. Itinerary Flexibility: All itineraries are sample itineraries intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, and physical ability of participants may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail.

3. Right to Modify: We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of trip participants' safety, comfort, and general wellbeing.

4. Rate Modifications: Hotels, houseboats, and transporters retain the right to modify rates without notice. In case of such changes, the rates quoted before modification can be changed accordingly.

5. Check-in/Check-out: All hotel and houseboat bookings are based on usual check-in and check-out times unless indicated in the itinerary.

6. Force Majeure: We shall not be responsible for any delays, alterations in the program, or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdown of machinery/equipment, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures, or any untoward incidents.

7. Liability Limitation: We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other services resulting from acts of nature, dangers, fire, accidents, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, medical/custom regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

Gondola Cable Car Tickets Terms

• Confirmed tickets shall not be rescheduled. Visitors are requested to raise cancellation requests before visit date and re-book tickets for other available dates.

• JKSCCC (Jammu & Kashmir State Cable Car Corporation) reserves the right, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to close Gondola G1 (1st Phase), G2 (2nd Phase), or K1 stations.

• Due to weather conditions or breakdown of machinery/equipment, in such an event, JKSCCC shall refund the bookings affected due to closure. Kindly do not raise cancellation requests separately in such events.

• Refunds towards cancellation of bookings, on JKSCCC approval, shall be credited back to the source in 7-9 working days from the approval date.

Important Things to Note

1. Photo ID Mandatory: It is mandatory to carry a photo ID card while on tour. Valid IDs for Kashmir are Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhar Card.

2. Itinerary Changes: This is an indicative itinerary and subject to change depending upon circumstances. Please consult driver/local representative for next day's sightseeing schedule/transfer timings.

3. Vehicle Restrictions: For Sonmarg and Gulmarg, vehicles are allowed only up to the common parking lot. Thereafter one can walk or hire ponies/local vehicles to explore sightseeing on direct payment basis.

4. Flexibility: Tour program is subject to change depending upon circumstances.

5. Mobile Network: Please note that only post-paid mobile numbers work in Kashmir.
